Join the Alexa Connections team to build and deploy advanced language intelligence for communication agents. You will research and develop LLM-native tasks such as intent understanding, context resolution, and agentic capabilities using instruction-tuning and RAG. The role involves taking models from research to production at scale, ensuring high quality, faithfulness, and privacy for millions of users.

• Research, develop, and deploy language intelligence for communication agents
• Reframe NLP tasks (NER, entity linking) as LLM-native tasks via instruction-tuning
• Build agentic capabilities for multi-turn conversation reasoning
• Fine-tune and optimize foundation models for noisy, multilingual real-world data
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for grounded outputs
• Define evaluation frameworks for model quality, latency, and customer impact

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of ML algorithm development experience
• 2+ years of programming in Java, C++, or Python
• Proven experience building and deploying NLP models in production
• Experience with named entity recognition, intent detection, or language understanding
