Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer

Accenture is seeking a Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer to work at the intersection of AI systems research and production engineering. The role involves investigating hard problems in agentic AI, translating research findings into production-grade implementations, and collaborating with platform engineers. You will design and execute benchmarking methodologies, build pluggable backends, and contribute to external publications.

• Investigate active innovation frontiers in agentic AI systems such as agent memory, inference routing, and autonomy control planes.
• Design and execute rigorous benchmarking and evaluation methodologies for production-relevant agentic task profiles.
• Translate research findings into production-grade implementations using Python and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Prototype and validate platform-level capabilities like inference routing policies and memory management layers.
• Integrate validated research capabilities into production systems with proper observability and testing.

• Strong Python engineering skills with experience in both research and production code.
• Experience with AI/ML systems, particularly in agentic AI or related fields.
• Ability to design and execute experiments and benchmarks.
• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript for SDK development.
• Understanding of distributed systems and observability.
