About the Role
Join a fast-growing legal tech company as a Senior AI Voice Engineer to build and scale production voice AI systems. You will own the complete voice stack, from telephony to LLM orchestration, and ship reliable phone agents handling real customer conversations.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement production-ready generative voice AI solutions integrating speech technologies like ASR/STT and TTS.
- Design and optimize real-time voice agent workflows balancing latency, reliability, and conversational quality.
- Implement evaluation, testing, and observability for AI systems to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into product workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience and 1-2+ years hands-on experience building production Voice AI systems.
- Proven experience shipping production phone agents handling real users and phone calls.
- Hands-on experience with voice-agent frameworks like LiveKit Agents, Vapi, Pipecat, or OpenAI Realtime.
- Strong understanding of the voice pipeline (STT, LLM orchestration, TTS, turn-taking) and telephony concepts (PSTN, SIP, WebRTC).
- Experience building LLM-powered products end-to-end with prompt engineering, RAG, and tool calling.
