Vanguard's Enterprise AI and Research (EAiR) team is hiring a Senior AI Research Scientist to advance state-of-the-art AI in areas including Large Language Models, Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning, Knowledge Graphs, and Responsible AI. You will conduct innovative research, publish at top AI/ML conferences, and translate research outcomes into production solutions for financial domains. The role involves close collaboration with scientists, engineers, and product managers to drive practical AI applications across Vanguard.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research to advance AI capabilities supporting Vanguard's strategic business goals.
- Publish findings at leading AI/ML conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, EMNLP, ACL, and AAAI.
- Build industry-leading algorithms for LLM fine-tuning, autonomous agents, knowledge graphs, generative AI, and responsible AI in financial domains.
- Perform diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning solutions to accelerate business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business and operations units to identify opportunities and design innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field.
