TomTom is seeking a Senior MLOps/Data Engineer to join the Navigation SDK team in Amsterdam. You will orchestrate and maintain ML pipelines on Azure and Databricks, standardize experimentation with MLflow, and implement observability for data and models. The role involves automating jobs with CI/CD, ensuring security and compliance, and handling incidents for ML pipelines and serving infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate and maintain ML pipelines (ingest, feature engineering, train, evaluate, deploy, monitor) on Azure and Databricks
- Standardize experimentation using MLflow or similar tools (tracking, artifacts, model registry, stages)
- Automate jobs with Databricks Workflows and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
- Implement data and model observability: freshness/completeness, drift, training/serving skew, SLA/SLO monitoring
- Ensure security and compliance
- Handle incidents and post-mortems for ML pipelines and serving infrastructure
Requirements
- Excellence in Python software engineering and developing tests
- Fundamental understanding of Machine Learning
- 3+ years in Data Engineering/MLOps roles
- Strong PySpark
