Thinking Machines Lab is hiring a Full Stack AI Engineer to conceive, build, and ship new AI-powered products from the ground up. You will prototype rapidly with frontier model capabilities, translate research insights into production interfaces, and own the technical architecture across the entire stack. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and research, requiring strong ownership in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features across web applications
- Prototype rapidly with emerging LLM and AI model capabilities
- Partner with researchers to translate model behavior into product decisions
- Own technical architecture including scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Set engineering practices and technical standards for the product team
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack ownership
- Strong track record shipping production web applications end-to-end
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Experience making pragmatic technical tradeoffs to move quickly without accumulating risk
