Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Associate) (New York, NY, US, 10001)

SAP is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Associate) to build AI-native enterprise solutions with customers in New York. In this hybrid role, you'll develop AI agents powered by LLMs, RAG, and agent orchestration frameworks while working with SAP BTP and SAP AI Core. You'll collaborate with senior engineers on production-grade applications and participate in customer workshops.

• Develop application features and AI-powered capabilities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Build backend services, REST APIs, and frontend components for enterprise AI applications.
• Develop AI agents using LLMs, RAG, MCP, tool calling, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Integrate SAP systems, enterprise APIs, databases, and external services into AI solutions.
• Support deployment on SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Participate in customer workshops, demos, and implementations.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and debug production issues.
• Contribute reusable components and documentation.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, IT, or related discipline.
• Strong Python programming fundamentals.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.
