Remitly is hiring a Staff AI Native Software Engineer in Seattle to direct AI coding agents that build and ship complete applications, workflow automations, and basic agents end-to-end. Rather than writing code directly, you translate customer problems into buildable specifications, orchestrate AI to deliver solutions, and evaluate AI-generated output against standards for security, privacy, reliability, and quality. You are measured on the speed and robustness of what you ship, within a hybrid onsite schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in Seattle).
Responsibilities
- Build complete applications, workflow automations, and basic agents using AI coding agents
- Translate customer needs into buildable specifications and ship from requirements through deployment
- Instrument solutions to track usage and outcomes, iterating based on learnings
- Evaluate AI-generated output against Remitly's standards for security, privacy, reliability, and quality
- Participate in customer conversations to identify acute problems and automation opportunities
- Document approaches, effective prompts, and patterns for the team
