Principal Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer

PhysicsX is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to lead the development and operation of infrastructure powering research model training, fine-tuning, and serving pipelines. This role partners directly with ML engineers and research scientists to train Large Physics Models, ensuring scalable and efficient workflow.

• Operate and extend infrastructure for machine learning research, including model training, fine-tuning, and serving pipelines.
• Partner with ML engineers and research scientists to support the training of Large Physics Models.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of ML infrastructure.
• Drive architectural decisions for infrastructure to enable cutting-edge research.

• Extensive experience in machine learning infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale compute.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with GPU clusters and cloud-based ML platforms.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with research teams.
