About the Role
Poggio, an AI-powered account intelligence platform backed by Accel and Spark, is hiring an experienced Agent Engineer to build and scale its AI agent systems. The role spans data pipelines, LLM operations, ML engineering, and product, focusing on high-leverage projects like retrieval planning, tool interfaces, and multi-modal capabilities. You'll collaborate across the stack to improve AI system performance and deliver a best-in-class user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI agents and agent skills on Poggio's context engine
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver AI capabilities across the stack
- Improve AI system performance metrics and design new evaluation metrics
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, retrieval planning algorithms, and tool interfaces
- Implement agent interoperability standards such as MCP and A2A
- Augment multi-modal capabilities (audio, video, diagrams, structured documents)
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages, including modern Python
- Hands-on experience with LLM capabilities, limitations, and observability
- Experience architecting or building data pipelines and information retrieval systems
- Working knowledge of data processing, retention, and privacy policies
- Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, product orientation, and collaboration
