flaschenpost, part of Oetker Gruppe, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong software engineering focus to build and maintain backend services for tour planning estimators and other ML services. You will work closely with data scientists to bring models and feature pipelines into production, manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and ensure reliability of cloud-based systems. The role involves code quality, architecture, and operational stability of ML repositories.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for tour planning estimation and other operational estimators
- Ensure code quality, structure, and architecture in ML repositories through reviews and refactorings
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize models and feature pipelines
- Build and operate data and training pipelines in Databricks
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including automated tests and deployments
- Ensure reliable operation of systems in the cloud environment and analyze production incidents
Requirements
- Experience in professional software engineering, having independently worked on production services or components
- Strong proficiency in Python for production contexts, writing structured, maintainable, and testable code
