White Circle is seeking an ML Research Engineer to build scalable representation pipelines and policy enforcement layers for AI systems. The role involves processing petabytes of unstructured text using advanced NLP techniques and LLMs to create structured, explorable data views for safety and moderation applications. You will work closely with engineering and research teams to align production constraints with innovative model development.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable representation pipelines including sampling, preprocessing, embeddings, indexing, and retrieval at scale.
- Utilize LLMs for labeling, weak supervision, data enrichment, and automated diagnostics with cost/quality controls.
- Translate findings into product decisions by shipping self-serve datasets, data models, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with engineering and research to ensure pipelines meet production latency, cost, and privacy requirements.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in production-grade pipeline engineering.
- Applied NLP/ML experience on real-world text data (embeddings, clustering, topic modeling, semantic search).
- Experience handling large-scale distributed processing, storage, and querying.
