Granicus is hiring a Software Engineer 4, AI-Native to lead production software development using AI coding agents. This remote role focuses on directing agent-driven workstreams, rigorously reviewing AI-generated code, and building evaluation suites to maintain quality and security in a FedRAMP-authorized environment. The position is open to candidates in the USA and supports the company's Govtech mission.
Responsibilities
- Direct the agent array on production workstreams: decompose problems into agent-executable tasks, dispatch them, and integrate output into shipped software.
- Review agent-generated pull requests at volume and depth, identifying correctness, security, and accessibility defects that automated tests miss.
- Author evaluation suites that make quality measurable and practice eval-driven development.
- Own quality end to end, including correctness, performance, security posture, and WCAG accessibility.
- Advance workstreams along the autonomy ladder based on measured reliability, and revert when necessary.
- Maintain agent operations within the security boundary: branch-only execution, vaulted credentials, sandboxed actions, and in-VPC inference.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in data structures, systems design, and testing.
