Lead Computer Vision Engineer - Autonomous Systems

Our client is seeking a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development of advanced perception systems for autonomous applications. This fully remote role involves designing and deploying state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and 3D reconstruction. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background and extensive practical experience in shipping computer vision products.

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of computer vision algorithms for real-time applications.
• Develop algorithms for object detection, tracking, recognition, segmentation, and pose estimation.
• Implement and fine-tune deep learning models for vision tasks using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Work with various camera systems, LiDAR, and other sensors to develop robust perception pipelines.
• Ensure the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of vision systems in diverse environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate vision modules into larger autonomous systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Conduct research into novel computer vision techniques and their potential applications.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and technical roadmap for computer vision initiatives.
• Author technical documentation, patents, and publications.
