AI Developer

Izertis Portugal is seeking an AI Developer to join their delivery team in Lisbon, working directly under the Managing Director. The role involves building functional AI prototypes and client-facing pilots, integrating LLMs, RAG systems, and AI agents into client products. You will work with significant autonomy, adapting to various stacks and client contexts.

• Build functional AI prototypes and client-facing pilots from discovery through to handover
• Integrate LLMs, RAG systems, and AI agents into existing client products and workflows
• Adapt to whatever stack the client context requires
• Work with significant autonomy: own technical decisions, raise blockers early, drive work to completion
• Collaborate directly with the MD and client stakeholders
• Move at the pace the work demands (projects measured in weeks)

• 3+ years of software development experience, full-stack or backend
• Proven hands-on experience building with AI tooling (LLMs, RAG, agents)
• Comfortable picking up unfamiliar stacks without structured onboarding
• Able to work with significant independence

• Built something real with AI outside of day job (side project, open source)
