Inworld is seeking a Staff or Principal Machine Learning Engineer to focus on inference for generative AI products that power AI characters. You will build and optimize large language model serving systems at scale. The role requires deep expertise in machine learning, LLMs, and systems programming.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance inference systems for large language models
- Optimize model serving latency and throughput for generative AI products
- Collaborate with research and product teams to deploy LLM-based AI characters
- Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes
Requirements
- Experience in machine learning and large language models
- Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, and Python
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Track record of building production inference systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with generative AI products
- Familiarity with AI character platforms
