About the Role

Datadog is building a new team to create AI-assisted tools that autonomously generate tests, fix bugs, and improve performance for developers. We're seeking a Senior Generative AI Engineer to work on LLM-based agents, prompts, evals, and production systems.

Responsibilities

Work with users, designers, PMs, and data scientists to build LLM-based agents. Develop prompts, evals, and agent tools for code. Prototype and iterate on products. Integrate with Datadog IDE extensions and dynamic instrumentation.

Requirements

5+ years backend engineering experience (Go, Java, Python). Experience shipping LLM-based software to production. Passion for Generative AI. Experience with large-scale systems, ML, or adjacent fields. Strong communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience writing developer tools (IDEs, static analysis, compilers). Proficiency with AI coding tools and refining AI-generated output.
