Guidepoint is hiring an AI Engineer to join their Toronto AI team, focusing on developing and scaling Generative AI-powered systems including LLM applications and research agents. This hybrid role involves architecting RAG pipelines, owning the AI application lifecycle, and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build production systems for Generative AI features such as RAG and agentic systems.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-powered applications including deployment and monitoring.
- Optimize RAG pipelines through retrieval techniques and prompt engineering.
- Integrate LLMs with knowledge repositories and external APIs.
- Champion LLMOps and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and implement advanced prompt engineering methods.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence product roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's in CS or related with 6+ years (4+ with Master's) experience in backend software engineering and Generative AI.
- Deep expertise in Python, backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask), asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with Azure (or AWS/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes.
