This Staff-level role leverages advanced data analysis, measurement methodologies, and predictive modeling to enhance the quality and performance of Google's Search AI products and Generative AI capabilities. The successful candidate will drive research-backed improvements to AI systems through rigorous experimentation and data-driven insights. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize AI model accuracy and user experience at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply statistical models and measurement frameworks to evaluate Search AI and GenAI product performance.
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify opportunities for improving AI model accuracy and user experience.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement data-driven optimizations for AI systems.
- Design and analyze large-scale experiments to measure the impact of AI feature releases.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative research within a tech environment.
- Strong proficiency in statistical modeling, A/B testing, and large-scale data analysis.
