Sourced from emploive.com

Glacier, a Series A startup in San Francisco building AI-powered recycling sorting robots and analytics, is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Computer Vision organization. You will own the CV roadmap, lead a distributed international engineering team, and provide deep technical guidance on models, datasets, compute, and production performance. This is a technical leadership role reporting directly to the Co-Founder and CTO — not a day-to-day coding role. The position is hybrid, with required in-office days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• Own the vision, strategy, and execution of Glacier's computer vision roadmap in partnership with Product Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed CV engineering team, including hiring, performance, upskilling, and retention
• Set project and task-level priorities, keeping engineers focused and unblocked
• Break complex technical challenges into clear plans and coordinate execution across multiple engineers and workstreams
• Provide technical guidance on models, datasets, compute, evaluation, and production performance
• Establish lightweight processes that improve execution and collaboration
• Partner with Software, Operations, Manufacturing, and Field Engineering to resolve cross-functional dependencies
• Oversee the data labeling function, including resourcing, budget, and quality
