FabStation is hiring a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to architect and optimize real-time 3D object tracking for its AR manufacturing platform. The role focuses on developing on-device pose estimation and visual-inertial fusion pipelines for iOS hardware, integrating with Unity, and hardening tracking systems for industrial shop-floor environments. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the tracking core, from algorithm design to production deployment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and ship on-device 6DoF object tracking from prototype to production
- Fuse tracking with visual-inertial odometry, depth, and IMU data for robust performance
- Optimize native C++ vision pipelines for iOS and Apple silicon frame budgets
- Integrate native modules with Unity via plugin bridges and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Define tracking quality metrics and benchmark against challenging shop-floor conditions
Requirements
- 5+ years in computer vision with at least one shipped real-time feature on mobile platforms
- Strong modern C++ skills and solid foundation in 3D geometry, calibration, and linear algebra
- Hands-on experience with nonlinear least-squares optimization and SE(3) pose parameterization
