Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Zillow is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to anchor its Agentic Data Foundations team, building scalable ML infrastructure that powers Zillow AI Mode. The role bridges core data platforms and applied AI teams, designing production-grade pipelines, model-serving layers, and agentic frameworks. This is a fully remote position within the US, offering a competitive salary.

• Architect and deploy scalable machine learning infrastructure to power Zillow AI Mode.
• Serve as a technical liaison between the Agentic Data Platform and applied AI teams.
• Drive alignment on timelines, architectures, and priorities across organizations.
• Optimize production capabilities for high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and rapid innovation.
• Translate complex ML infrastructure designs into clear insights for diverse audiences.

• 6+ years of hands-on expertise building, scaling, and operating large-scale data and ML infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of ML fundamentals and production systems, including data flows, serving infrastructure, observability, and evaluation.
• Proficiency with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, Agents SDK), large-scale data processing (Spark, Databricks, Airflow), cloud platforms (AWS preferred), vector stores, and Python.
