DoorDash's GenAI Platform team builds shared infrastructure for Generative AI. This senior role leads the design of an open-weights model platform for inference and fine-tuning, including real-time GPU serving and batch inference. The engineer will set technical direction, mentor others, and push the cost/performance frontier.

• Lead design of infrastructure to move GenAI ideas from prototype to production.
• Own and evolve open-weights serving stack: real-time GPU endpoints, batch inference, fine-tuning.
• Architect scalable systems for model serving, GPU autoscaling, and batch pipelines.
• Push cost and latency frontier of GPU inference.
• Build platforms for rapid experimentation with production standards.
• Partner with ML engineers and product teams across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
• Set technical direction for future GenAI platform including RL and agent optimization.

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years industry experience in software engineering.
• Deep backend engineering fundamentals in Python and distributed systems.
• Track record of designing and owning production services, APIs, data pipelines, or ML infrastructure at scale.
