CyberCube is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own the architecture of its AI-ready data layer. You will design data contracts, schemas, and AI-facing interfaces so that both humans and AI agents can query sensitive portfolio data safely and efficiently. The role involves building MCP servers, semantic layers, and evaluation harnesses for production, while improving platform scalability and governance across Spark, Iceberg, Airflow, and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Set up data contracts, versioning, documentation, SLAs, and self-service onboarding for product teams.
- Design schemas for transactional and analytical access and lead migration of existing datasets.
- Build tool definitions, scoped permissions, metadata exposure, and audit trails for AI agents.
- Decide where agentic automation helps versus deterministic pipelines and build supporting tooling.
- Improve scalability, reliability, and cost across Spark, Iceberg, Airflow, and AWS.
- Own lineage, quality checks, and isolation for client-sensitive data.
- Write and review design documents and turn requirements into epics.
Requirements
- Experience in data or backend engineering with strong Python and production API experience.
