About the Role
Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, integrating AI across the care journey. The AI Integration Team ensures seamless data flow between Commure's platform and over 40 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on designing integration solutions, leveraging LLMs to reverse-engineer EHRs, and ensuring interoperability via HL7/FHIR.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex integration solutions between the platform and third-party healthcare systems (EHRs, insurance providers) ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Utilize the latest LLM technology to automate reverse-engineering of electronic health records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, healthcare) to gather requirements and define technical approaches.
- Contribute to the technical direction of the integration platform, proposing improvements to architecture and tools.
- Take ownership of end-to-end integration workflows from design through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve production reliability.
- Ensure all integration work adheres to healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for integration development.
