Senior Principal Engineer (Generative AI Strategy)

Bank of America is hiring a Senior Principal Engineer to lead and execute Generative AI strategy for Global Markets Regulatory Reporting. This hands-on technical role involves engineering scalable, reliable AI solutions using proprietary and open-source large language models, driving architecture and development across the program, and partnering with the GenAI team to promote AI adoption. The position is based in New York and requires deep expertise in machine learning, software engineering, and enterprise architecture.

• Define the engineering approach for the program/portfolio, working with Architecture to deliver technical enablers.
• Lead planning, design, and implementation of complex features spanning multiple teams.
• Oversee technical solution development, including design reviews and code reviews within the domain.
• Define the technology tool stack using approved and supported technologies.
• Explore state-of-the-art technologies to improve development efficiency, QA coverage, and release management.
• Lead end-to-end test strategy and integration across teams.
• Partner with the Global Markets GenAI Technology team to promote and implement GenAI tools across Regulatory Reporting.
