Machine Learning Engineer, Intelligent Sensing Technology - Incubation

Apple's Camera Incubation team seeks a creative ML Research Engineer to prototype new sensing experiences. You'll work across the full stack from model training to systems integration, exploring concept prototypes for intelligent cameras. Collaborate with design and product teams to shape features across Apple products.

• Work across full stack: model training, systems integration, rapid prototyping
• Explore concept prototypes for intelligent camera sensing
• Collaborate with design and product teams to bring new features to Apple products

• BS and 3+ years relevant industry experience in ML/AI engineering
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art architectures (transformers, RL, predictive inference)
• Strong coding skills in modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
• Experience building end-to-end ML pipelines (data acquisition to deployment)
• Experience integrating sensing systems fusing multimodal signals (vision, audio, IMU, LiDAR) with ML models on mobile/wearable/robotic platforms

• MS or PhD with substantial applied research experience
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical collaborators
