About the Role
Apple's Special Projects group is seeking an iOS engineer to build AI agent systems from prototype to product. You will optimize agentic systems, collaborate with ML researchers, and prototype features. This is a 0-to-1 role requiring autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and optimization of agentic systems that manage context and orchestrate tools
- Partner with ML and AI researchers to translate cutting-edge models into tangible features
- Prototyping ideas to support feature definition and iteration
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to cross functional partners
- Collaboration on architecture discussions and code review
Requirements
- Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals - BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of iOS development experience or equivalent product or systems engineering experience
- Practical knowledge of how LLM-powered systems work, including prompt engineering and agent frameworks
- Experience with coding agents
- Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity

- Experience building LLM/Agentic systems
