As a Senior Software Engineer on AWS Applied AI Solutions, you will architect and build the identity and governance systems for Agentic WorkSpaces, enabling secure and auditable AI agent interactions within enterprise desktop environments. You will design attribution mechanisms, policy enforcement engines, and authorization models to ensure autonomous agents operate safely under human oversight. This high-ownership role involves foundational system design, cross-team technical leadership, and mentoring engineers while solving complex problems in AI agent security and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end identity architecture for AI agent governance across desktop sessions and service boundaries
- Design infrastructure-level attribution and audit systems to distinguish agent actions from human actions
- Architect policy enforcement and authorization models that evaluate agent tool calls before execution
- Drive technical consensus and make build-vs-leverage decisions for identity primitives
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code and design reviews
- Communicate architectural tradeoffs to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one major language
