About the Role
Akkodis is seeking an MLOps Engineer for a contract role in Sunnyvale, CA. The role involves building scalable backend systems, supporting machine learning operations, and ensuring secure, high-performance application deployment using cloud and CI/CD tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Build and support distributed, event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and caching frameworks.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based deployments using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features and support multiple concurrent projects.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability through monitoring, debugging, and optimization.
- Contribute to front-end integration using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue) and support UI responsiveness and usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in backend development or MLOps-related roles.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and REST API development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
