Acadian Asset Management is hiring a VP, Investment AI Engineer to design and build agentic AI solutions that accelerate investment research and portfolio workflows. This senior, execution-focused role partners with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to translate complex investment intent into production-grade, human-in-the-loop workflows. The engineer also establishes guardrails, best practices, and evaluation metrics to ensure reliable and responsible AI usage within a systematic investment firm.
Responsibilities
- Deliver reusable skills that encode investment workflows, conventions, and institutional knowledge.
- Design, build, and operate investment-facing AI agents, skills, and workflows that automate research and portfolio tasks.
- Implement safe automation practices, including human-in-the-loop review, testing, and controlled execution.
- Define and maintain guardrails around cost, data access, agent scope, and commit size.
- Translate complex investment and research requirements into clear technical specifications and reviewable merge requests.
- Partner with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to prototype, refine, and productionize AI-enabled workflows.
- Measure and improve workflow outcomes including adoption, quality, and time-to-value.
- Establish review norms for agent-generated changes to ensure clarity, auditability, and accountability.
