ABN AMRO is seeking an AI Risk Manager to lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks associated with AI systems and models. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, this role focuses on building a robust risk management practice that ensures responsible and controlled AI usage across the organization. The position requires bridging technical AI concepts with traditional risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess operational risks related to new and existing AI systems and underlying models.
- Design and implement risk frameworks, standards, and governance for AI-related operational risks.
- Coordinate AI risk management activities across multidisciplinary teams including IT, cyber, data, and compliance.
- Advise stakeholders on responsible AI use and challenge controls where necessary.
- Monitor external regulatory developments and internal policies relevant to AI risk.
Requirements
- Experience in risk management (operational, IT, model, or data risk).
- Expert knowledge of (gen)AI concepts and their potential risks.
- Understanding of AI governance, regulatory expectations, and risk frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
