Staff Machine Learning Engineer for AI Product

Qonto is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its AI Product team in Paris, building customer-facing AI for its finance workspace. The role combines generative AI and classical ML techniques to develop end-to-end ML models, integrate them into production systems, and create scalable MLOps infrastructure. This is an IC role with mentorship responsibilities, offering high visibility and impact across 600,000+ customers.

• Develop ML models end-to-end: from product requirements to training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Integrate ML into the product ecosystem alongside Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Backend Engineers.
• Build the MLOps framework: model drift detection, performance tracking, automated retraining pipelines, monitoring, and alerts.
• Put models into production with rigorous quality assurance and continuous monitoring.
• Raise the bar by sharing best practices and mentoring peers.

• 6+ years experience as an ML Engineer with MLOps experience, having shipped client-facing ML products.
• Modelling expertise in building and optimizing machine learning models for external customers.
• Strong Python engineering skills, proficient with FastAPI (or similar), third-party integrations, and databases in production.
• MLOps fluency with tools for automated retraining, performance checking, and drift detection.
