Machine Learning Engineer

Pure Storage is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy production-ready AI systems. The role focuses on NLP, entity extraction, document classification, and LLM-powered automation. You will build end-to-end ML pipelines and integrate models into products.

• Design and implement ML and deep learning models for discovery and classification.
• Integrate LLMs and ML models into products and automated workflows.
• Define model training strategies and collaborate on dataset requirements.
• Build and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines covering training, inference, evaluation, monitoring, and improvement.
• Optimize models and inference pipelines for production constraints.
• Deploy, operate, monitor, and improve ML systems in production.
• Translate business challenges into ML system designs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.

• Experience delivering machine learning models into production.
• Hands-on experience with NLP and text-based ML systems, including LLM-assisted workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy.
• Experience implementing ML pipelines for training, evaluation, monitoring, and deployment.
• Ability to design clean, modular, and maintainable ML solutions.
• Experience collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills.
