About the Role
Housecall Pro is hiring a Software Engineer II - MLOps to build infrastructure for deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production. In this role, you will partner with data scientists and product engineers to create automated ML pipelines, improve system reliability, and support scalable model release workflows. The position is fully remote with a worldwide scope.
Responsibilities
- Implement robust infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and managing ML models in production
- Build automated, end-to-end machine learning pipelines for feature engineering, model deployment, and continuous evaluation
- Collaborate with data scientists and product engineering teams to operationalize complex models
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for reproducible model release workflows
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure model performance and system health
- Optimize system architecture for scalability, uptime, and cost efficiency
- Evaluate emerging technologies and document architectural standards and operational procedures
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in MLOps, Data Engineering, or core infrastructure software roles
- Demonstrated proficiency in backend programming languages with a strong emphasis on Python
- Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and supporting machine learning models in distributed environments
