Menhir AI is seeking a Junior AI Engineer in Madrid to collaborate with senior engineers on building conversational AI agents from prototype to production. The role involves participating in the full AI solution lifecycle, including data preparation, model evaluation, and deployment support. You will work closely with Product and Data teams to define success metrics and ensure data quality.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the complete AI solution lifecycle: problem understanding, data prep, experimentation, evaluation, documentation, and deployment support.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to convert requirements into user stories and define success metrics.
- Prepare and ensure data quality (cleaning, validation, sampling) and support labeling processes.
- Contribute to model and agent evaluation (offline/online tests, A/B testing, validation sets) and define basic guardrails.
- Assist in implementing observability: metrics, logs, and alerts for detection.
Requirements
- Strong desire to learn and build real products.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers.
- Understanding of the AI development lifecycle.
- Basic knowledge of data handling and model evaluation concepts.
