About the Role
lululemon is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to define and drive the enterprise AI/ML platform strategy, architecture, and implementation. This hands-on technical leadership role spans MLOps, generative AI, foundation model services, and agentic frameworks, partnering with architecture, product, and applied science teams to deliver scalable and responsible AI solutions across the retail ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise AI/ML engineering vision and implementation strategy for the AI platform and services.
- Drive implementation of major AI initiatives with scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
- Provide expert-level coding and technical leadership for AI platforms, ML infrastructure, and production AI systems.
- Partner with enterprise architects and product teams to shape company-wide AI architecture.
- Lead technical design of foundation model services, generative AI solutions, and agentic frameworks.
- Mentor Senior and Staff engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
- 11-15+ years of progressive software engineering and AI/ML engineering experience, including enterprise-scale AI systems.
- Expert-level coding ability with production-grade AI/ML systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
