KPN is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain agentic AI solutions that advance their autonomous network initiative. You will develop intelligent agents that observe, decide, and act in real time, collaborating with domain experts and engineering teams to integrate scalable AI into production network environments. The role focuses on production ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement of AI/ML pipelines and agentic systems.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and maintain agentic AI systems for autonomous network optimization and decision-making.
- Design system architectures, validate software quality, and ensure production reliability.
- Build and maintain scalable AI/ML pipelines with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Define and implement monitoring, testing, and governance strategies for agentic AI solutions.
- Collaborate with network domain experts, data engineers, and software teams to integrate agentic solutions.
- Translate network objectives into data-driven, self-adapting models using reinforcement learning.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering, including designing and operating distributed systems in production.
- Solid experience with Python and/or Java, writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
