Hirequill is developing an AR and AI-based training and assistance system for chronic wound care. This role involves building the back-end infrastructure, integrating AI models, and connecting with smartglass SDKs. The position is remote within Germany and works with a small team on a prototype.
Responsibilities
- Design and build back-end infrastructure (REST APIs, cloud services, data pipelines)
- Manage system integrations between hardware, external services, and internal components
- Implement real-time data streaming from smartglass sensors to server-side processing
- Integrate AI capabilities including language understanding, audio processing, and output validation
- Interface with smartglass SDKs and sensor APIs
- Connect AI model outputs into application layers (inference endpoints, versioning, monitoring)
- Support computer vision integration from architecture to deployment
- Set up CI/CD, containerization, and observability
Requirements
- Back-end engineering proficiency with Python and FastAPI (or equivalent)
- Real-time integration experience (streaming pipelines, WebSocket)
- AI engineering experience integrating models into production or prototype systems
