Software Engineer (Back-end & Computer Vision)

Hirequill is developing an AR and AI-based training and assistance system for chronic wound care. This role involves building the back-end infrastructure, integrating AI models, and connecting with smartglass SDKs. The position is remote within Germany and works with a small team on a prototype.

• Design and build back-end infrastructure (REST APIs, cloud services, data pipelines)
• Manage system integrations between hardware, external services, and internal components
• Implement real-time data streaming from smartglass sensors to server-side processing
• Integrate AI capabilities including language understanding, audio processing, and output validation
• Interface with smartglass SDKs and sensor APIs
• Connect AI model outputs into application layers (inference endpoints, versioning, monitoring)
• Support computer vision integration from architecture to deployment
• Set up CI/CD, containerization, and observability

• Back-end engineering proficiency with Python and FastAPI (or equivalent)
• Real-time integration experience (streaming pipelines, WebSocket)
• AI engineering experience integrating models into production or prototype systems
• System integration experience connecting hardware and third-party APIs
