Join Gusto as an ML Platform Software Engineer to build and scale the underlying infrastructure for machine learning and AI initiatives. You will design automated pipelines and model lifecycle tools that enable data science teams to deploy models efficiently. This role requires a strong foundation in software engineering principles applied to ML systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale ML/AI infrastructure components
- Develop MLOps solutions and automated training/deployment pipelines
- Create tools for model lifecycle management
- Collaborate with data scientists to optimize model performance and deployment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and workflows
- Experience building scalable distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages used in ML ecosystems
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI)
- Background in CI/CD for machine learning models
