About the Role
Google seeks a Software Engineer to join the Agentic Ecosystem team, developing infrastructure for AI agents using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The role involves building domain-specific features with models like AIM and Gemini, ensuring data governance, and collaborating across Search and Gemini teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core infrastructure for Agentic Integrations with a focus on MCP Servers. Build domain-specific features leveraging generalist models like AIM and Gemini. Deliver surface-agnostic code components for the MCP2Agency bridge across Search, Gemini, and Geo. Ensure all deliverables strictly adhere to data governance and privacy policies. Participate in system design reviews and provide thorough code reviews for partner integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 2+ years of software development experience. 2+ years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or GenAI-related concepts. 2+ years designing large-scale infrastructure. 2+ years in software quality assurance and automation. 1+ year of ML infrastructure experience.
Nice to Have
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field. Experience building developer-facing platforms, SDKs, or third-party integration frameworks. Familiarity with LLM orchestration, tool-use, and agentic workflows. Direct experience with MCP. Ability to align technical strategies across Product Areas. Ability to start by August 2026.
