Astrocade is building interactive world models and a consumer platform where users create playable experiences via natural language. As an ML Engineer on the AI team, you will own the quality of AI-generated content, build evaluation systems, and design agentic ML systems that turn creator ideas into playable games. This is an applied ML role with direct product impact, collaborating closely with the CTO and co-founders.
Responsibilities
- Own the quality of AI-generated content end to end, including model behavior, agent orchestration, prompting, tool use, and failure modes
- Build evaluation and insight systems on production creator data to measure failure rates, quality, and system strengths/weaknesses
- Design and build agentic ML systems that reliably produce great, playable games from creator ideas
- Debug hard problems across the stack, from generation issues down to data, model, or pipeline causes
- Run experiments quickly, measure rigorously, and ship what works
- Help define AI team processes, tooling, eval standards, and technical direction
Requirements
- 3–7+ years of experience in ML engineering or applied ML, with a track record of shipping models or AI systems to real users
- Experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems in production
