Amazon Web Services is seeking a Startup Solutions Architect to advise early-stage founders in San Francisco on cloud architecture and scalable product decisions. The role focuses on helping startups navigate the GenAI landscape, select foundation models, build AI-powered services, and establish data foundations including vector databases and RAG pipelines. You will also create technical content and represent AWS at startup events, accelerators, and developer meetups.
Responsibilities
- Work hands-on with early-stage founders to design and iterate on practical, scalable architectures
- Help startups navigate the GenAI landscape, from selecting foundation models to building production-ready AI products and services
- Guide founders through the challenges of building GenAI applications, including model costs, latency, accuracy, safety, and AI best practices
- Support startups in building data foundations such as vector databases, data pipelines, RAG, and fine-tuning workflows
- Build relationships within San Francisco's startup ecosystem, including accelerators and VC firms
- Connect founder feedback to product and engineering teams to shape AWS services
- Create technical content such as blog posts, reference architectures, and sample code
- Share expertise at startup events, demo days, and developer meetups
