Allianz UK seeks a Lead Data Engineer with MLOps expertise to define technical direction, lead cloud-based Data Science product delivery, and mentor engineering teams. The role involves hands-on development of production pipelines, establishing MLOps standards across CI/CD and deployment, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive commercial value.
Responsibilities
- Define and adopt MLOps standards for CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and deployment
- Write high-quality Python code for production pipelines serving billions of requests annually
- Lead delivery and continuous improvement of Data Science products that enhance MLOps processes
- Mentor and develop Data Engineers ranging from graduate to senior levels
- Design and build scalable processes and workflows in collaboration with architects and external experts
- Maintain data governance standards ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Data/ML/Platform Engineering with strong MLOps expertise
- Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP)
